Milk fireworks

What you need:
  • Full cream milk
  • Food colours
  • Washing detergent
Step 1: Pour milk into a bowl/container  and pour some food colouring into the middle.

Step 2: Dab a bit of washing detergent into the middle and the reaction will start.

Simple as that, now sit back and watch the show!

Step 2
Done

How does this happen?
The main job of washing detergent is to break down fat, and milk has a lot of that so while it was breaking down the fat it caused the colours to mix and scatter.
