Balloon Zipline Experiment

What you need:
  • 1 Balloon
  • String
  • Straw
  • Tape
Step 1: Measure out the amount of string you want to use then simply cut.

Step 2: Tie one end to a support,
example - tree, chair, doorknob, etc.

Step 3: Put your straw through the string.

Step 4: Blow up your balloon but do not tie it, just pinch it.

Step 5: Now sticky tape the balloon to the straw. (continue to pinch)

Step 6: Now just let go.

How does this happen?
This experiment is all about air and thrust. When the air starts rushing out the balloon it creates a forward motion called thrust. It's as simple as that.
